We had a mixed experience at this hotel. While our initial rooms were quite outdated and not ideal for a family, our second night's stay was much better thanks to our guide's intervention, placing us in modern and spacious rooms. The meals could take a long time, and service wasn't the quickest, leading to some frustrations, especially with our young child. Breakfast was alright, but the wait was sometimes inconvenient. Overall, it was reasonably priced, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The first set of rooms we stayed in felt old and were not very family-friendly, but the second set in the main building was spacious and clean, equipped with modern amenities.
Service
6.0
The service during our stay was hit or miss. While housekeeping was exceptional, the meal service could be quite slow and the front desk staff was a little inconsistent in addressing our needs.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location isn't ideal as it's a bit of a walk to the central market and other attractions, making it necessary to rely on transportation.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast buffet was decent, but meals in the evening often had very long waits. It would be more convenient if all meals were offered as buffets, as it took a while to get the service we needed.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at the hotel. While the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel itself fell short of what I expected from a boutique experience. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms were commendable, but there was a lack of attention to detail. Additionally, the breakfast was a highlight, but again, it set high expectations that weren’t consistently met throughout my stay.

Rooms

The room was clean and comfortable, although the initial one I received was disappointing. After expressing my concerns, I was given a much nicer room, but I wouldn’t classify it as boutique.
Service

The service was generally good, with staff going out of their way to assist, especially Faisal at the front desk. However, there were inconsistencies such as a lack of basic amenities being replenished in the room.

Breakfast was fantastic, offering a good range of options and high-quality food, which was definitely a strong point of my stay. However, the timing of breakfast starting at 7 am was a bit inconvenient for those of us needing to leave early.

The hotel had a pleasing ambiance but lacked some essentials, such as a well-defined spa area and inviting outdoor spaces that could have significantly enhanced the guest experience.

Tulia is a delightful retreat that offered my family a soothing escape after our travels. The staff made us feel right at home, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing food. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but there were a few minor issues related to amenities and inconsistencies in service. Overall, it's a solid choice, especially for pre- or post-safari accommodations.

The rooms were clean and comfy with great air conditioning. However, they could have benefitted from some extra touches like tea and coffee facilities.
Service

The staff was accommodating and always had a smile. They helped us feel at ease, but there were a couple of mix-ups with room authorizations.
Location

While the hotel is a bit removed from the city center, it’s still accessible. However, I wouldn't recommend wandering out at night.

The food was spectacular, especially breakfast with the omelet chef. However, the evening meal service could be slow at times.

This hotel is conveniently located off the main highway, making it easy to access safari companies and local attractions. The staff here are exceptional and truly make the experience memorable. Although the rooms could use some maintenance and the dining options were quite basic, the overall stay was quite pleasant and felt safe, especially as we were exploring the vibrant local community around the hotel.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were a bit cold and dark, lacking coziness, and needed some maintenance, like fixing a leaky shower and a broken soap holder. Additionally, it was noisy at times due to the cleaning staff.
Service

The service was fantastic; the staff were warm, friendly, and went out of their way to help us, from storing our luggage to assisting with transportation and even organizing PCR tests for us.
Location

The location felt a bit rough, and I wouldn’t recommend going out in the evening. Still, it’s close enough to other parts of the city for daytime exploration.
Dining

I had mixed feelings about my stay. While the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the hotel itself fell short of expectations. The rooms were spacious but didn't match the pictures I had seen, and the dining options were limited. Overall, it's not a place I'd recommend unless some serious improvements are made.
